BIRD CONSERVATION
We report bird sights forward for the bird conservation in Finland.
We take care of 18 birdhouses which we build, repair and clean.
We feed carefully birds that over winter in Inari.
Our guests get to see and learn about the birds.
INSECT WELFARE
Our reindeer farm has several bug hotels which are build from the materials found from our reindeer farm.
We grow selected flowers for the bees, bugs and the butterflies.
Insect repellents working with nerve agents are forbitten at our reindeer farm!
Pesticides are forbitten at our reindeer farm!
ECO-FRIENDLY GIFTSHOP
All the items sold in our giftshop are made by the mother of the family at our reindeer farm.
Materials for the items are mostly straight from our reindeer farm. Reindeer antlers, reindeer leather, fish leather, fish vertebrae, Pine roots, Pine bark, Willow bark, Birch bark etc.
Giftshop items have a minimal Carbon footprint if any. Labels are recycled. Giftbags are made from recycled cardboard or paper.
Some items are made with recycled materials as keychain metal parts and scrunchie fabrics.
Display stands are build from existing materials found from our reindeer farm.
Giftshop visitors can use our composting outdoor toilet.
10 SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES
1. We fix rather then buy a new one.
2. Fallen trees can rotten to their place and provide life for the insects and fungi.
3. Bark leftover from woodwork is used to light the fire instead of chemical ones.
4. Sharing important knowledge about the nature divercity can increase our guests "nature appreciation" and lead to their own sustainable choices.
5. Customer outdoor toilet is compostable. The compost is used for the flower beds.
6. We recycle plastic, cardboard, glass, metal, paper, bottles, textile and electronic divices. Reindeer farm visitors can recycle aswell.
7. We use the same forest path as the reindeer, not to harm the vegetation.
8. Entrepreneur takes effort to educate herself. Latest where about the endangered biotopes in the region, nature-positivity and reporting about sustainability.
9. Unnecessary items are gifted to local school, kindergarten, Red Cross or to local second hand shop for the un-employed. Handcrafts are gifted to local events.
10. No marketing for the mass tourism.
Customer outdoor toilet is composting. Compost is used for the reindeer farm flower beds. Saw powder from woodwork is used as a bedding for the outdoor toilet.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Angeli reindeer farm is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company has chosen reducing inequality, responsible consumption, and climate action as its most important goals. Angeli reindeer farm annually sponsors the Inari Pride event. Angeli reindeer farm acts to increase natural diversity. The reindeer farm has a wonderful diverse environment. Huge bug hotels, flower beds, birdhouses and vegetable garden full of life. During winter birds, squirrels, ermines, hares, foxes, martins and Moose tend to stop by at our reindeer farm. Some daily.
We pursue to saving natural resources for the future generations. We don't fly to travel fairs to attract mass tourism to our small village. We do little marketing on Instagram and TripAdvisor. We recycle waste and our customers can also recycle their waste when they visit us. We protect the surrounding nature in many ways, e.g. by reporting on the birds in the area for bird monoring in Finland, by banning insect repellents that work with nerve agents at our reindeer farm. On our close-to-nature visit, we tell the visitor through stories and concreteness how important nature diversity is. Our guests learn alot about the nature during the visit.
Our guests can buy handmade crafts from us instead of mass-produced goods shipped to Inari from far away. Our reindeer farm visit is a unique and one-of-a-kind product. The visit is based on an existing authentic local home, our family´ s nature connected life, local culture and the work of a professional reindeer herder.
