INFO
2 hour private experience at our authentic reindeer farm. Meet locals and learn about our family´ s nature connected way of life.
Our home is located 10 km from the Inari village. Private address is given with the booking. This private and remote location of our home creates a safe place for our reindeer. Our reindeer roam free around the year traditional Sámi way. During winter our reindeer visit our home daily.
Inside the fences we have reindeer who need extra care such as orphan calves. We can feed these reindeer together. You will get a basket full of Lichen for this.
Then we go for a peaceful short walk in the forest nearby. Our reindeer graze freely in this magnificent old Taiga forest. You can observe and photograph our reindeer and enjoy the surrounding nature. Anne shows you local medicine plants.
We also take care of the wild birds. At our reindeer farm it is possible to see, feed and photograph local birds like the Siberiantit, Pine Grosbeak and Siberian Jay.
TAKE NOTICE: We cannot quarantee that feeding the birds from hand will happen. We can only try if the wild birds choose to come near us. Even tough, observing the birds from close is mesmerizing.
Hot berry juice is available in the warmth of our charming blue wooden hut. And stories are told how the people have survived these harsh conditions for thousands of years. Learn from Anne how to make a fire without matches. Inside our hut this is safe and fun.
In the hut Anne makes traditional handcrafts from nature materials like reindeer and fish leather and baskets made from Pine roots, Willow and Birch bark.
You find Anne´ s unique items from the Giftshop aswell as reindeer antlers and Chaga Tea.
Learn about our home language Inari Sámi. What does our home lake´ s name mean in Inari Sámi and how does the lanquege sound?
We have a tiny Elf living at our reindeer farm. Children can visit the Elf´ s wooden house if they want to.
And we have two frienly dogs called Tivgâ and Piergi.
Tiervâpuáttim! Welcome!
