"This was truly a magical experience. My husband and I both love animals and this visit was special in every sense of the word. Not only did we get to meet Anne's reindeer up close, but we also had the privilege of spending time with Anne herself. Hearing her share how she cares for the reindeer, lives closely connected to the land and embraces a more natural way of life was incredibly inspiring. We learned about traditional teas and foods found right on her land, simple, nourishing, and deeply rooted in the environment… along with meaningful insights into Sámi culture. It felt personal, authentic and unlike any other experience we've had. We left feeling grateful and inspired and we truly hope to return again someday. "

Our reindeer live in freedom and visit our home daily during winter. Inside a fence we have only the reindeer who need extra care, such as orphan calves. Our reindeer do not pull a sleigh. We are reindeer herders and we don´ t have time to train "tourist reindeer". Our guests learn about the reindeer herder´ s demanding work.
Anne will take you for a peaceful walk in the forest to feed and photograph reindeer. We observe the free roaming reindeer and explore the ancient Taiga forest together. The follen trees, Fungi and animal tracks. Learn about the medicine plants that are available during winter and how does the climate change show in our life.
Learn about Inari Sámi. Our home language. We are only 300 who can speak the original language of the area. What does our home lake name mean in Inari Sámi and how does the language sound like?
We have a charming wooden hut with a fireplace where our guests can warm up. Hot berry juice is available and stories are shared about ancient survival skills and traditional crafts. See Anne´ s unique craft such as tanned fish leather and items made with Pine roots. Our family´ s own Sámi handcrafts are on display.
From the Gift shop you find handicrafts made by the mother of the family and naturally shed reindeer antlers, chaga tea, and dried dyeing mushrooms.
