Angeli reindeer farm has been a sponsor for the Inari Pride from the start. Sometimes financially. Sometimes as a First Aid person. And sometimes Anne has been hosting a Pride jewelry Workshop for the Pride event organizers. Pride flag is displayed at our hut / Giftshop.
The reindeer farm visit is suitable for people of all ages. Easy short walk to the reindeer fences. The fences can be opened and are accessible for people with limited mobility and using a baby carriage. There are seats here and there.
Due to the shape of the snow and the terrain, the visit is not completely barrier-free, but in our opinion "CHALLENGING ACCESSIBLE". Meaning that moving around can be challenging for people with reduced mobility. Example: moving in the snow with regular wheelchair or with small wheels of an electric wheelchair can be challenging without an assistant. Or that there are not enough handrails or the access ramp is not up to standards. We try to clear the snow from the path ways at once. We pursue forward in inclusiveness.
We try to consider limited senses and the spetrum of neurodiversity.
The reindeer farm has a warm hut with accessible ramp an a wide doorway but the snow conditions require an upper doorway. We have two movable ramps for the 14 cm high step. The wooden hut is very spacious inside to move around and the tables, firestove and the Giftshop are wheelchair accessible. The wooden stools are movable.
Accessible and spacious outdoor toilet is behind the hut. The toilet has a 2-7 cm step depending on the snow conditions. Movable ramps can be used there when needed.
