Above are two pictures of our charming and spacious blue wooden hut. "Kuáti" in Inari Sámi. We have a small giftshop inside where you can find unique items handmade by the mother of the family. Above are two pictures of a traditional pouch and bracelets made from our own reindeer leather. We sell also naturally shed reindeer antlers for craft and decoration.
DETAILS ABOUT THE AURORA EVENING
Our reindeer farm is located 10 km from the Inari village. You can meet our reindeer. Posibility to photograph reindeer with the Northern lights when the sky is clear. Our reindeer roam free traditional Sámi way.
Experience the dark forest safely with your host and intensify your senses.
We keep minimum lights on so that you can enjoy the darkness without light pollution. Few candles show the way.
We keep a low voice if the Northern lights appear. To respect this nature element and not to spook our reindeer.
We are professional reindeer herders working together in three generations. We live by a lake side surrounded by forest and hills. Safe place for our reindeer to rest. You might see us working with reindeer during the evening. For example someone picking up or dropping of reindeer with a van or trailer. We take care of injured and malnourished reindeer and orphan reindeer calves during winter.
Mother of the family will warmly welcome you. Anne is a reindeer herder and nature entrepreneur by profession. Birdwatcher, fisher, traditional crafter and nature enthusiast. Happy to share knowledge to our guests.
Our traditional Láávu is in your use for the visit. Láávu is made with a large fabric and wooden poles. Inside is an open fire and reindeer hides for you to sit and relax. Láávu is suitable for 1-12 person at the same time. It is mesmerizing to take a moment and just stare at the ancient open fire.
Our lake side is perfect for stargazing and photographing the Northern lights if the sky is clear. Possibility to see and photograph the mirror image of the Northern lights by the surface of the lake when it is not yet frozen. (possible in September, October, November depending on the weather)
Tea is available in the wooden hut. It is a charming space with a fire stove. You can warm up there and your host will tell you stories about the traditional crafts and items. You can charge your phone or battery there.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Angeli reindeer farm is committed to the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The company has chosen reducing inequality, responsible consumption, and climate action as its most important goals. Angeli reindeer farm annually sponsors the Inari Pride event. Angeli reindeer farm strives to increase natural diversity with its activities. The reindeer farm has a wonderful diverse environment. Huge bug hotels, flower beds, birdhouses and vegetable gardens hum with life. In winter, birds, flies, squirrels, hares and reindeer live here. We pursue to saving natural resources for future generations. We don't fly to travel fairs to attract mass tourism, but we do a little marketing on Instagram and small amout of flyiers (about 100 flyiers a year). We recycle waste and our customers can also recycle their waste when they visit us. We protect the surrounding nature in many ways in our activities, e.g. by reporting on the birds in the area for bird monoring in Finland, and by banning insect repellents that work with nerve agents on our reindeer farm. On our close-to-nature visit, we tell the visitor through stories and concretely how important nature diversity is. And our guests can buy handmade crafts from us instead of mass-produced goods from far away. Our reindeer farm visit is a unique and one-of-a-kind product. The visit is based on an existing authentic local home, culture, nature and the work of a professional reindeer herder.

-Unfortunadly there is no public bus or train which stops near our home. We live in a remote place so that our reindeer feel safe. Above are timetable links to a bus and a train in Finland. Maybe you can use some of these ways to travel while you are in Finland.
-From Inari village to our place is 10 km. Local taxi is a good choice. This way our local taxi drivers get extra income. Ask taxi phone contack from us if you don´ t find suitable online.
